Ebford harvest 2004

FRIENDS OF PEBBLEBED
From the start we have wanted to involve as many interested people in the vineyard as possible, from the initial planting and establishment of the first community vineyard to last year when we had some 150 people to help with the harvest. Eight tons of grapes were picked in two hours followed by a harvest lunch that turned into a joyous communal party.

The majority of people who know or are introduced to the vineyard show interest and some of these are keen to become actively involved. It’s fantastic to share this project with others - young and old, wine buffs and beer drinkers alike!

Friends of Pebblebed is a club that households and organisations can join. The cost is £15 per annum and we ask you to complete a short form providing us with your contact details and your email. You will then receive 10% discount from our normal retail prices and also be informed of Friends of Pebblebed events held at the vineyard and elsewhere.

We work closely with Vino, a small wine club and community that brings in some very special Italian wines and French Champagnes from small growers known personally to wine and food authors Marc and Kim Millon. Joining Friends of Pebblebed gives you membership to Club Vino (and vice versa). FoP members are therefore also entitiled to club prices for Vino wines as well as invited to participate in Vino events including wine tastings and occasional overseas trips to the wine country.

Please download, fill in and return the application form below or call in to the Topsham Wine Cellar for more information.
